This trip, we went with my Dad and his dog, Ozzy.  It was Ozzy's first camping trip...
This park is one of my favorites, but unfortunately we don't get there very often, it's too far away. We spent a lot of our time driving Skyline Drive, because it rained what seemed like most of the time we were there.  We walked on the Appalachian Trail, which was pretty much why I wanted to go.  My dream is to walk the whole trail, from Maine to Georgia.  It's a dream that most likely will never come true, considering the time that is needed, as well as the fact that physically, I doubt I could do it!

We met two thru-hikers that have walked 900 miles already!  It was really interesting talking to them, and was definately the highlight of the trip.
Even though it rained a lot of the time, it's still a great place to go.  There are deer everywhere in the park and always at your campsite.  We also saw a bear while driving along Skyline Drive!  We were hoping to see more, but to no luck.

We met my brother, Scott and his wife, Terri for dinner one night.  We had a good time, we don't get to see them much.  It was a nice Father's Day for my Dad.
This is what one of the Appalachian Trail markers looks like.  We got on at this point, and went to Fischer's Gap.
These are some view from the AT.  The white blaze is what your looking for...  These are some of my favorite shots.
We were on a mission to find one of these huts, or
shelters that hikers use while on the AT.  This is
where we met Apollo and Snuggles.
Snuggles and Apollo...
This is what our view looked like a lot of the time, the fog was so thick, we couldn't see more than a few feet in front of us.
